Intelligent gift planning combines charitable intent with cost-efficient planning techniques. While most charitable gifts are made in cash, other non-cash gifts often provide significant benefits to the donor. It can be extremely important to consider the kind of asset used to fund a charitable gift.
In addition to traditional methods, gifts can also be made conveniently via PayPal or Venmo. Click the following links for ways you can maximize your charitable giving.

Immediate Gifts
Immediate gifts to Mid-America are just as the name implies: gifts that are given to Mid-America now. Immediate gifts can include the following and should be addressed to:
Mid-America Reformed Seminary
229 Seminary Drive
Dyer, IN 46311
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts are carefully crafted for your financial and estate plan and enable you to arrange charitable contributions in a manner that maximizes personal giving objectives while minimizing tax liabilities. Planned giving is sometimes called deferred giving because the beneficiary of the gift will often not realize the benefit from the gift until sometime in the future. Planned giving often allows you to make a substantial gift to Mid-America while retaining an income stream from the gift. Mid-America Reformed Seminary works with Barnabas© Foundation when helping you to create a planned gift.
Matching Gifts
Did you know you may be able to double or even triple your charitable donation to Mid-America without any additional cost to you? Many corporations encourage their employees to engage in charitable giving to non-profit organizations through a matching gift program. These programs are part of corporate charitable giving initiatives that not only encourage employee participation in charitable giving but also extend the reach of the corporation’s charitable giving.
The most common type of corporate matching gift program involves a charitable gift to Mid-America and your employer will match that gift. You are generally required to obtain a matching gift form from your company’s Human Resources Department. Most companies have a number of eligibility requirements so make sure you meet those requirements. If you work for a company that has international operations and you work abroad, you will probably still be eligible to participate. If you are retired you might be surprised to know that the company you worked for may still match your charitable gift even in retirement. Contact the company to find out if you qualify.
If you are not sure if your company has a matching gift program, start by contacting the Human Resources Department. Mid-America may also be able to tell you if your company has a matching gift program. You can email the Seminary at info@midamerica.edu, or call 219-864-2400.
Funds

Each fund is carefully managed to ensure faithful stewardship and long-term impact. Gifts may be directed to any individual fund according to your interest and burden, allowing you to support the areas of greatest importance to you. Simply designate your gift to the appropriate fund when giving, and it will be applied accordingly.
